Colleen Gouveia Moulton has been named chair of the Alumni Engagement Council for the University of Rhode Island Foundation & Alumni Engagement (URIFAE) and serves on the executive committee of the URIFAE Board of Directors.
Gouveia Moulton is senior vice president and director of commercial banking at BankNewport and has held leadership positions at Rockland Trust, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citizens, and Fleet. She has provided her expertise to URI since 2011 in a variety of voluntary roles.
Gouveia Moulton earned her M.B.A. at URI in 1998 and became involved with the former Alumni Association (now URIFAE) in 2011 serving on the finance committee. The Alumni Engagement Council partners with URIFAE and the University to inform and engage alumni and ensures that engagement activities reflect URI’s mission.
“I am very proud to be a graduate of URI and reside in the community,” said Gouveia Moulton. “My degree from URI enhanced my marketability and increased the quality of my job opportunities. I am honored to give back and contribute to what I feel is a continued transformation for this University that has an impact on so many lives.
“I love working with the Alumni Engagement staff and council members as we engage more alumni and build stronger connections between alumni and the University. We also have the Alumni of Color Network, Young Alumni Council, and Women’s Leadership Council, which are part of the larger Council and plan specific activities and outreach for those alumni.”
Gouveia Moulton resides in West Kingston, RI, with her family. Her role at BankNewport focuses on strategic growth initiatives in the commercial space, including loan portfolio diversification, the rollout of new technology and digital services, and coaching and guidance for a team of commercial bankers to grow market share.
